Best Discord Welcome Message Ideas — Ori Discord Bot

All templates use Ori’s variables — they resolve automatically when a member joins.

  1. Keep it short. New members skim. Three lines beats three paragraphs.
  2. Point somewhere. Tell them where to go — #rules, #roles, #general. Don’t make them figure it out.
  3. Use {user}, not {user.name}. The mention ({user}) pings them and makes the message feel personal.
  4. Match your vibe. A gaming server and a professional community need different tones. Write how your community talks.
  5. Test it. Click the Test button in the dashboard. See what it actually looks like in Discord before a real member sees it.
  1. Open the Ori dashboard
  2. Go to Plugins → Welcome
  3. Paste or type your message
  4. Pick text or embed format
  5. Click Test
  6. Done
