Embed Colors — Ori Discord Bot
How do embed colors work in Ori?
Section titled “How do embed colors work in Ori?”Every rich embed Ori sends to Discord (welcome messages, giveaway announcements, reaction role menus, mod logs) uses a colored strip on the left side. This color comes from your server’s brand color set in the dashboard.
Setting your brand color
Section titled “Setting your brand color”- Open the Ori dashboard
- Select your server
- Go to Server Settings
- Use the color picker or type a hex code (e.g.,
#7df9ff) - The color applies to all plugin embeds automatically
Per-plugin color override
Section titled “Per-plugin color override”Some plugins let you override the brand color with a plugin-specific color. For example, the welcome plugin has its own color picker in its settings. If set, the welcome plugin uses that color instead of the brand color.
Discord rendering
Section titled “Discord rendering”Discord renders embed colors as a thin vertical bar on the left side of the embed. The color appears the same on desktop and mobile, though slight rendering differences may occur between platforms. The hex value you set is the exact value sent to Discord.
- Use a color that matches your server’s identity or logo
- High-contrast colors (cyan, green, purple) stand out in Discord’s dark theme
- Avoid very dark colors — they blend into Discord’s background
